For the first time ever, we held "EMSOP's Masked Singer" in Spring 2025. WIth this event, we had a list of performers all with unique masks, concealing their identity. Audience members got to vote on their favorite performances, with identities being revealed at the end. We also had a raffle for a squishmallow. All proceeds from this event went to Project HOPE.
Performers: JoAnn Liu, Sancharitha Ramji, Janet Liu, Hernand Atienza

Each semester, our fundraising and philanthropy committees host several tabling events in order to raise money. These can range from bake sales to sticker sales. They are a fun way to show the EMSOP community what we have been working on and a great way for us to raise money for Project HOPE and beyond.
Organizations We Support!
As an organization on campus, Lambda Kappa Sigma takes great pride in the Rutgers community as well as communities beyond our defined scope. We believe in initiatives that bring people together for the benefit of others and do our best to support organizations whose missions encompass that.
Project HOPE
Project HOPE is our national philanthropy. HOPE’s Mission is to achieve sustainable advances in health care around the world by implementing health education programs and providing humanitarian assistance in areas of need. In the past, we have done Meal Swipes for Charity to support Project HOPE as well as hosted a charity showcase, Festival of Cultures, to fundraise.
Embrace Kids Foundation: Dance Marathon
Rutgers University Dance Marathon (RUDM) is the largest, student-run philanthropic event in New Jersey. RUDM’s mission is to provide emotional and financial support for children who are a part of Embrace Kids Foundation. RUDM participants dance to help raise funds and awareness that goes towards Embrace Kids Foundation’s mission to support the non-medical needs of children with cancer, sickle cell, and other serious disorders.

Rutgers Big Chill: Charity 5K
The Big Chill is a unique charitable event. Participants are asked to bring a new toy, valued at $15 & up or an equivalent cash donation for a child between the ages of 3 and 14. Toys were wrapped by 250 volunteers the following Monday and sent to the administrative offices of the New Brunswick Housing Authority, the Franklin Housing Authority, Robert Wood Johnson, The Salvation Army of Bound Brook, The American Red Cross of Central New Jersey and ten other organizations.
